Accident cases in Bluffton and Beaufort County

One office. Both places. Gregory M. Galvin handles personal-injury claims after an accident — on the road, on a property, and when someone has died.

The practice

The same trial lawyer, for the accident file.

Galvin Law Group is in Bluffton, at 23 Plantation Park Drive, Suite 503. The accident work covers Bluffton and the rest of Beaufort County, including Hilton Head. There is not a separate office, and there is not a separate page, for each town.

The lawyer who tries the federal and class cases is the lawyer on the injury file. The case is prepared from the documents, the medical record, the witnesses, and the proof of what the harm cost — the way a trial file is prepared.

A phone call does not create a lawyer-client relationship. The firm does not take every inquiry. If the firm takes the case, you will be told.

Courtroom

Start with a call.

Monday–Thursday 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Friday 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. Say where the accident happened and who was hurt.

Accidents

The kinds of accidents this office handles.

The page is for both Bluffton and Beaufort County. The headings below are the common files. If the harm came from an accident and it is not one of those headings, call anyway.

Cars and passenger vehicles

Wrecks involving cars, SUVs, and other passenger vehicles. Intersections, highway crashes, and collisions in town.

Trucks and commercial vehicles

Tractor-trailers, delivery trucks, work trucks, and other commercial vehicles. The company behind the truck is often part of the file.

Motorcycles

Motorcycle collisions, including cases in which the rider’s injuries are disputed or the other driver says the bike was hard to see.

Pedestrians and bicycles

People hit while walking or riding a bicycle — in a crosswalk, on a shoulder, or in a parking lot.

Unsafe property

Falls and other injuries on property that was not kept in a safe condition: a store, an apartment, a job site open to the public, a parking area.

Wrongful death

A death after an accident. The claim belongs to the family. Bring the death certificate and the name of the person who will speak for the estate, if you have them.

How to start

What to have when you call.

You do not need a finished file. Say who was hurt, the date, and whether it was in Bluffton or somewhere else in Beaufort County. Say which hospital or doctor has seen the person, and whether there is a police report, photos, or an insurance letter.

Deadlines depend on the kind of claim and on the date of the harm. Do not assume there is time left. Call before you throw papers away, and before you sign a release from an insurer.

Contract disputes, business cases, and real estate closings are a different page. If the matter is not an accident, start at civil trial work and closings.

Past results do not guarantee a similar outcome. This page is attorney advertising. It is not a promise that the firm will take a particular case.

Tell the office

  • Who was hurt, and how to reach that person
  • The date and the place — Bluffton or elsewhere in Beaufort County
  • The kind of accident: vehicle, motorcycle, pedestrian, bicycle, property, or a death
  • The other driver, the company, or the property owner, if you know the name
  • Medical treatment so far, and any letter already received from an insurer

If someone was hurt in an accident, call the Bluffton office.
